The health and safety of our guests, volunteers, donors and staff continue to be our top priority. During these ever-changing times, the American Heart Association will update this website with up-to-date information regarding events. Mr. Melbert Carl (Bob) Hillert Jr.
October 30, 1946 – March 20, 2020
We’re saddened by the recent passing of Dr. Bob Hillert, a friend, longstanding supporter and trailblazer for the American Heart Association. Dr. Hillert was the founder of Côtes du Coeur, who succumbed to his battle with cancer. Over the course of its 28-year history, the annual event has raised more than $42 million for the Association’s mission. In his 30 years of involvement with the Association he held many leadership positions, including president of the Dallas Division’s Board of Directors. We are grateful for the relentless impact he made in the fight against heart disease and stroke.
